Imperial warden (with full reaserch)

My latest study project – Genetically Created Imperial Warden, evil alignment. As you can guess, this project took a lot of inspiration from the Warhammer 40k aesthetics.

My initial idea was to create a guard that is pleasant to look at in the far scope, giving a feeling of sturdiness and protection, but upon closer inspection it would give off more of an “uncanny valley” vibe, as the viewer would notice robotic parts and other tell-tale signs that it is not a mere human in a suit of armour, but a unit modified for war.

This project was pretty tough for me, mainly due to the differences of opinion between me and my tutor on how the “evilness” of this character should be shown in the design. However, those kinds of conversations only improve upon one’s work, and in the end I’m satisfied with the final results.
